I am loading for a 300 win mag. The rifle is a stainless Win mod 70 26" barrel. Primers will be Fed 215 match..have a couple thousand of them. Bullets will be 180 grain Nosler E-Tip .. have 3 boxes of same lot#. Powder is H4350 ...have 2 pounds same lot#. Now I need cases. I plan on buying 50 to 100 new cases of the same lot, firing them once with practice loads then loading them for hunting. Whats your favorite case brand? Normally I use federal cases cause I usually get my best velocities from them. -------------------- THANOS WAS RIGHT!

I like the old Frontier brass and buy it when I find it. But as far as a favorite, I use what is the best buy and normally that’s Winchester or Remington. ________________________________________________ Maker of The Frankenstud Sling Keeper Proudly made in the USA Acepting all forms of payment

The ones you get for free. If you can find someone who doesn't reload and has 4 or 5 boxs of the same once fired brass I take them no matter the brand.

I have found the Remington (RP) brass to be on the soft side for .300 Win Mag. Winchester (WW) has done better for me (YMMV...). If you feel wealthy, Lapua makes (or at least used to make) .300 Win Mag brass - although it came at a price... RWS and Norma also makes .300 Win Mag cases, but whether they are really worth the extra $$$, I don't know. The same goes for Nosler. I would probably try some WW brass, prep it and see how I did accuracy wise. - mike ********************* The rifle is a noble weapon... This may or may not have meaning for you. In the 22PPC I compared Lapua brass with SR primers. Than formed PPC cases from a variety of 7.62x39 cases with LR primers. There was not any outstanding difference that would lesson one from another as poor hunting accuracy. They all performed good (close or better than MOA.). The three main ingredients are; The rifle, the bullet, and the hunter. Brass does play a role in "hunting" ammo from what I've found, but it is in uniformity rather than origin of manufacture. roger Old age is a high price to pay for maturity!!! I've never really noticed any difference between the big brands in my "mag" calibers. I usually go with Winchester. I've heard good things about Prvi brass and plan on using it for my 7mm-08. "We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then is not an act, but a habit"--Aristotle (384BC-322BC)

W-W cases for me, they seem to be the most uniform in .200 Win Mag (also a bit heavier than Rem or Hornady, so I guess a bit less volume) and they seem to last longer... Karl Evans

In order, I rank brass like this, not sure who makes 300 WM, but I'm pretty sure all of these do. TIE for 1&2 is Nosler and Lapua 3. Norma 4. Winchester 5. Hornady 6. Remington 7. Frontier Nolser is easy to fool with, all the prep is done, and the come packaged nicely, just a detail I suppose, but speaks to quality IMO. By the way, if you put in the time to 'prep' all your brass, you can get em all about equal, you will have less 'fallout' with the top 3 brands!
