Tried applying for one tonight, but can't seem to find the ATF form 5310.16 for it anywhere online, as several forums have said it was. Has something changed? Can I only obtain this form directly from the ATF?

Thanks,
F6

Been there, tried that, doesn't work. That's why I was asking on here. The link to the 5310.16 is dead, and a search of the ATF site doesn't turn up anything. Was hoping someone had the PDF file at home and could forward it to me...

But thanks for trying!

Hummm...that used to work...

okay...time to go to the horse's mouth.

http://www.atf.gov/dcof/index.htm

Then go to the blue section on the right of the screen and scroll down until you hit

" F 5310.16 (F7CR) - Application for License (Collector of Curios and Relics) Under 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44, Firearms"

Select it and fill in the information...

Then wait for the gov to send it to you.

LOL, Steve, you win the prize for persistence! I did that part, too. But I was STILL hoping beyond hope that a C&R holder might have the form laying around, save me a few days waiting on the ATF to send it to me... I figure they will make me wait WAY longer once I send it back to them with the $30 attached.

I already have the 5330.20... so much for taking a shortcut, eh?

Thanks again for the assistance!!

The reason it is not available on-line is because there are other pieces necessary to complete the application...fingerprint cards, pictures, etc.

When did they start with the fingerprints & pictures? I've had mine for 3 years now and just sent off my renewal application yesterday. I didn't have to provide either fingerprints or pictures. Don't doubt your word for a minute, but this is the first I've heard of it. I guess 9-11 had something to do with the new way of doing things?

I just received one from BATFE, a Form 7CR, and a citizenship certification form that has to be submitted with it. I see nothing in the instructions from BATFE concerning fingerprints or pictures..... ??? Just that a duplicate has to be sent to the local "Chief LEO", which is the county sheriff where I live....

Yeah, the fingerprint thing is only for the full-blown FFL. C&R only requires a copy be sent to LEO.

Looks like 9/11 has caused yet another far-reaching negative impact...
