| HBB,
The RCBS primer uses regular reloading press shellholders, unlike the Lee whcih uses special, "unflanged" shellholders. I think this is a "plus" for the RCBS....

The RCBS hand priming tool uses standard-style shell holders. But the shell holders must be RCBS, not lyman, lee, etc.

I have never had a problem using Lyman shell holders in my RCBS Hand Primer. BTW, I keep a shell holder in the die box of each caliber, plus one of each size that I use in the Box w/my hand primer. Sean

Some brands of shell holders have a slightly smaller hole in the centre and will not work in the RCBS priming tool

I use both RCBS and Lee press shellholders in my RCBS priming tool.
