lately I have been loading berger VLD bullets for my 264 win, I have been loading the 140 berger, I have heard that these bullets shoot best close to the lands, are you guys running these exactly on the lands, jambed into the lands, or back a ways. I don't wanna have a bullet get stuck and dump powder if I need to pull out the shell so keep that in mind with your recommendation

I use a lot of Berger VLD's in numerous rifles. I have always found them best to load into the lands. Usually .015 to .020 in. I don't have any rifles that if needed to remove a round from the chamber that will cause the bullet to stick in the barrel. I don't however shoot them in any 26 cal. I do shoot them in.172, .224, .243, .257, .284, & .308.
