I'm not 100% satisfied with my RCBS Uniflow powder measure, and I wonder what else might be out there that's better.
While its accuracy is fine, the Uniflow aggravates me a little with its charge-locking mechanism. If I tighten it down enough to keep it from slipping and changing charge amounts during a lot, it's an SOB to loosen up to change charges - wrenches, pliers, and the whole lean over the tube action.
Better powder measures?

Thanks. Looking at your recommendations led me to the "micro adjustment" charge thrower each has. A quick check of RCBS shows they have one that can be cheaply retrofitted to my UniFlow, so I'll try that.
Thanks again.

when it comes to ball powders it seems as though almost any of them do well....when it comes to powders like IMR-4831 it seems as though all of them suck.
My favorite powder measure is an old Herters....and it works very well. Just as good as many of the new models with their "gizmos"

If you don't mind it being somewhat on the slow side, the new RCBS ChargeMaster Dispenser ( http://www.rcbs.com/default.asp?menu=1&s1=4&s2=7&s3=138 ) will measure any powder accurately, although a bit pricey. Best to buy them from Natchez or MidwayUSA.

The Belding & Mull visable powder measure is my favorite! Any powder from flake Unique to stick 4831 is accurately measured, plus it is very safe to use but, it is slower than something along the lines of a Redding.
