| I have used the 270 X bullet in a Weatherby .375 H&H and at 71.0 grains of RL-15 I get 2600 fps. I have used the 300 gr TSX with 68.0 gr of RL-15 I get 2604 fps in an M70 SS Classic. My .375 H&Hs like RL-15. Mike -------------- DRSS, Womper's Club, NRA Life Member/Charter Member NRA Golden Eagles ... Knifemaker, http://www.mstarling.com |

| Grum: RE 15 shoots good in my 375. Will do 1 moa with 270 Hornadys and xbullets. Just fooling around with different powders. I am trying some 380 just for kicks. The Xbullets really fouled my barrel bad. I got good accuracy with IMR4320 also, but understand it is temperature sensitive, though I never noticed. A friend in Ak got some hangfires and high pressures at cold temps with 4320. I think he is sticking with Re15. Another guy likes 4350, but I think it is a bit slow. I am also going to try and work up a Vit150 load. I got some on sale. I also will try BLC2 with the Sierra 250. Want to use the TSX's on elk though! |

| Paul, It may or may not help you with 270gr TSX's but I've gotten great accuracy with H-4895 and 300 gr X bullets in two different 375 H&H's. H-4895 is usually a little quicker than RL-15 so I'm thinkin it would be the first powder I'd try with the 270 TSX's since it worked so well with the 300 X's. The fact that H-4895 is temperature insensitive doesn't hurt anything either.........................DJ

| You might try Varget. One thing about it is it has better lot to lot consisency than RL15. I've found that if you find a good lot of RL15 buy as much as you can safely store and forget about anything else in the 35 H&H.

| Thanks guys. Looks like I have to buy another powder cannister. I do have more use for them, though. Will let you know what happens with the H380 vs 4895 and Varget. |
