Best Primers for Cold Weather

What do you think are the best primers on the market for shooting in cool-cold weather conditions and why (10-32 degrees). I load 308 and 30-06, using medium-slow powders and 180 grain bullets (IMR 4064, 4350 and WW 748).

In the past I have usually used CCI, but never realy gave primers much thought. The post on Winchester primers got me thinkin'...

No reason to give primers any though, they all will work. If you are critical about accuracy then you could try them all to see if you see any difference, which you probably won't! Good Luck

This past Christmas break I was sighting in my wife's 7x57 which the rifle and ammo had sat in the porch overnight, then I took it out on the trail. The temperature was 0 degrees F. I used WLRM primers. I use the mag primers for everything anyway so I can't tell you how they compare to anything else. I have never, ever had a misfire.

for your own peace of mind, you might switch to magnum primers. I have never had a primer failure. Cold or wet. If you switch to magnums, I would make it complete and use them year round.

It gets down to 40-below (F) here, and I have NEVER had a primer fail to ignite...regardless of type or make.

I use Winchester ball powders and Winchester standard primers and I've never had a round fail to fire, and I have been out shooting when it was 0 degree F.
