| While, it isn't the one I would say is the most useful, the .257 Imp. gets my vote, too. Accurate, light recoil, great performance. I built one several years ago on a push feed M70, put a High-Tech stock on it. It was so nice, I've not seen it in years; my wife confiscated it. |

30 06 has probably the most of everything you've shown as your example, bullets, brass easy loading. It's not the best of the Ackleys though.
The 280, another 30 06 family member is pretty good and one of the better Ackleys for velocity gain. Lots of .284 bullets out there.
The 250 Savage has the highest velocity gain % of them all. Quite a bit more limited in overall selections and availability. |
