Just recieved my first order of Howell Basic brass from AHR. I had used some 340Howell and 380Howell in my buddies rifle but never the Basic. I was going to use it for my 380PDK. Other than my brain fart to start I love it. Since their normal formed brass is 2.6" long I ASSUMED the Basic was as well . So I lubed the first case ran it in and pulled the neck off trying to extract. So after taking the die apart and clearing the neck and shoulder area I decided to measure the next one. It measures 2.73" (before any necking down) so that didn't function to well in a die set up for 2.6". So if you need some long 06 style brass the price is right compared to other cylinder brass I have found.

After correcting the length and forming the weights are very uniform.
