How do these bullets work in 300Wby and 375H&H? Have access to a few if I want them.

Thanks,

David

How do they work? Well, you stuff them on top of a powder charge in a brass case with a primer at the other end, load them in the chamber and pull the trigger. Big Grin animal

(sorry, it's one of those Saturdays....couldn't help myself).

Actually, did you mean how do they work ON GAME and not necessarily in the rifles?

They are very good, very tough bullets capable and appropriate for large bodied animals, and dangerous game. Accuracy is not always one of their attributes.

They do have a reputation in some instances of being worse than the original Barnes X bullet for not expanding. Remember, they are TOUGH. If I used them, I'd always aim for bone. You will get plenty of penetration with Failsafes. That will never be a worry.

The 270 grains were very accurate in my 375 H&H but the performance wasn't very good, either acting like a solid or if it did expand, the pedals broke. Discontinued now.
