Does anyone know of a source for light (under 250 grains, and preferably in the 190's) 9.3 mm bullets other than Old Western Scrounger? I am working with a 9.3x80R double, and would like to try some of these lighter bullets.

They might be able to make you what you need.
I have used their 285gr. .035jkt bullets in my 9,3x74R.
At the velocities of the 9,3x80R the .025jkt should give you some expansion.

If you can get RWS or other European bullets in USA there would be a few options for you. I'm not sure about the homerolled stuff lighter than 250 grains

Thanks gentlemen. The European bullets were what I was interested in, although I may have to try the Hawks if I can't find others. At over a dollar each from OWS for 193 grain RWS 9.3's, I can shoot my large calibers with premium bullets cheaper . I guess that the principle of supply and demand takes over here, and I should be appreciative that they are available at all .

Slug that bore before you try to fire a .365-.366 bullet down it. I'm pretty sure the 9.3x80R is similar to the 9.3x72R and the nominal bullet diameter of the 193gr bullet for the 9.3x72R is somewhere around .358 (going by memory on that one). Anyway, be careful on that one.

Good piece of advice, but I had already done that (better cautious than sorry with the older, less standardized calibers ). It measures .3655, so I am in luck there. In fact it is closer to "standard" groove diameter than most of the doubles that I have worked with. Chamber base diameter is another matter however, but we won't get into that here .
