I'm looking for a 220gr Nosler Partiton load in 300H&H.

Which powder, charge and what kind of velocity are you getting?

I'm a die hard fan of the 200gr bullet and already have several pet loads, so don't give me any of those, as I already know what that bullet can/will do.

I did stumble across a box of 220gr N-Partitions and wanted to see how they shot in my rifle.

Thanks!

My suggestion:

63 grains of H4350 should do it for 2673 fps depending on your chamber and barrel.
Start with 60 grains, and work up in jumps of 1 grain.

I load with S365, our equivalent of H4350.

Here is some related info from Reloaders Nest:

http://reloadersnest.com/detai...ight=220&LoadID=7116

LoadID 7116:

Bullet: Remington SP
Bullet Weight: 220 grs
Powder: IMR 4350
Powder Weight: 65 grs
Primer: Remington 9 1/2 M
Brass Make: Remington
Barrel Length: 24 (inches)
C.O.L: 3.575 (inches)
Velocity: 2695 fps

Part of the conservative loading of the H&H in some reloading data could be the rifles themselves. The .300H&H was introduced in 1925. Lots of pre-war guns floating around. The .300 Win mag did not come out until 1963. Most of the rifles it has ever been chambered in are made from modern steel alloys.
