Just posted a question, re: .357 reloading, and did not state .357 in question. Did in subject, but did not in message. Can a person use reg. small pistol primers loading a .357 mag. with Unique powder? Thanks.

Yes, easy to light propellants like unique work fine with standard small pistol primers. The magnum small pistol primers are for "maximum effort" loads using the slower propellants like Alliant's 2400, Hodgdon's H-110 and Winchester W-296. Yep, that's exactly what you should use. As Allen said, you really only need sm mags for the really slow ball powders like H110 & W296. I don't even use them for 2400. LIFE IS NOT A SPECTATOR'S SPORT!
