For those that may be intrested had some inital testing done with R26 in the 06 with the 200 gn partition REMINGTOM 700 24 INCH BARREL REMINGTOM CASE FED 210 PRIMER R 26 58 GN 2651 R 26 59 GN 2670 R 26 60 GN NO READING R 26 61 GN 2760 R 26 62 GN 2798 slight bolt lift resistance slight ejector mark on case... i wonder how the 62 gn load would have held up with better quality brass...Lapua any one else done any work with R26 in the 06 and 200 gn partition or accubond Daniel | ||

IMO, 62 grs is too hot! 61 grs is likely too hot! 60 grs might be OK, and likely ~2700 fps. AIU | |||

GREG which powder R26 or R17...i have had R17 pressure tested both with 180 and 200 partitions....i cant get my pressure testing done any more as the person who did the testing no longer works at the Defence industries Lab | |||

AIU look at the case its a remington case...when i get some R26 i will run it in my lapua case and i will know after 10 shots if the pressure is to high...if after 10 firings the primer pocket is tight you pressure is still okay there was a poster on 24 hr campfire who was getting 2750 with R26 and NO pressure signs, and that was in a 22 inch tube | |||

In my experience, Re26 acts similar to Re22 and MRP. That is a bit faster than Re25. Still would love to see a hook-up between Re25 and 200 grain bullets in the 30-06 - Nostler partition or Accubonds. I think you'll like the results. | |||
