I sent an internet order to Hornady for a singlr 6mm TCU size die. the price was $29.90 and shipping was listed as $5.95 OK. then they asked for shipping preference, and knowing the cheapest way to ship somthing that small is USPS priority flat rate ($3.85) so that is what I put down. I recived an aknowlegement on the order. The next day I recieved another email saying that because I asked for USPS priority there was another $4.00 charge. I sent back a cancelation that I was not paying $9.95 for somthing that could be shipped for $3.85 priority. I ordered from Midway for $24.99 and $6.55 shipping. Every company out there has figured out that they can make a good profit in shipping and "handling". I don't mind the shipping costs, it's the "handling fees" that piss me off. When you go the parts store does the counterman charge you a handling fee to look up the part, pull it from the shelf and bring it to the counter? But then again, with all the competition out they the've got to bolster profits in other ways, I guess.

The cost of "handling" should be built into the cost of the items and not tacked on to the shipping. Other than that it is not justified.
