has anyone used ''lee crimp'' dies on the double rifle cartridges

what existing crimp dies can i use

the 375 hh for the flange

is the 405 win to small to crimp a 450-400

will the 450 win mag or lott crimp the 450 3 1/4

what will work on the 500 3'' nitro express say one of the .510 pistol crimp dies

what can / do i do to get a lee crimp die for my 577 ne double rifle

have other reloaders had one made

thanks much

Anyway it matters not, because my experience always has been that of---- a loss of snot and enamel on both sides of the 458 Win----

Yes on the 375; no on the 405; the 450-400 won't enter the die; much larger case. Yes on the .458.
No on the 500 NE; much thicker case than say, a .500 Linebaugh. 577? Get out your lathe and make one.
I use the actual dies for all those cartridges, but I don't have a .577.

Hello Frank. I should have one for the flanged 375, maybe the 450 and I think possibly on the 577 you are welcome to use until you round some up. And yes if you send lee a dummy round they will make anything you need for a reasonable amount.

Have Lee make a die for each caliber, trying to make one die work for other calibers isn't a good idea as far as I know, since case specs are normally different and it wont' take much to get you in trouble with those DG rifles..I don't belive Lee charges extra for a custom crimp die, at least they didn't used to....

There are two custom Factory Crimp die prices. The standard 7/8 x 14" thread for bullet diameters .172 - .501 (minimum - maximum) is $31.00 ($25.00 + $6.00 processing fee) and the 1 1/4 x 12" thread for diameters .300 - .577 (minimum - maximum) is $81.00 ($75.00 for the die + $6.00 processing fee).

Here are pictures of 458 Win Mag and 577 NE crimp dies.
