Hey' Here is some info on the 6.5 Gibbs.I have Rocky Gibb's book in front of me as I reply. The 6.5 Gibbs is on a 30-06 case.It has a 35 degree shoulder. Here are the velocities he claims for the following weight bullets 100 Gr Hornady Reloader 22,3559fps 129 Gr Hornady Reloader 22,3251fps 140 Gr Hornady Imr 4831 ,3126fps 160 Gr Hornady H870 ,2784fps He lists other powders, but this is just an idea of what kind of velocities, you will get.You might want to look into the 6.5.06 AI,and the 6.5.-.284. Both good joices.I have a 6.5-06 AI.Very easy to form brass. 1geejay www.shooting-hunting.com

swiftee, I once had a 6.5 Gibbs. It was almost the ballistic equal of the .264 Win. mag., and used LESS powder to boot.
