Does anyone have the hornady book that has staring loads for the 220gr.fp and the 225gr.spire point? I was told to start out with SR 4759 34.5-42gr.& accurate arms 5744 40.5-47gr. is this correct?also what other powder does the manual list? Can i use these starting loads for both bullet weights? What primer?I have a new book on order but was told it will not be available until after the first of the year. Thanks in advance.

I've compiled several sources, but I show starting 5744 load at 40.5 (2000 fps) to 47.7 (2300 fps). I've used a lot of this powder, & it's very accurate in my 375 with 220 gr flat nose Hornadies. Bob
I have killed a few deer with a 375 H&H using the Hornady 220FP with 60 grains of IMR 3031, and the 235 Speer with 60 and 64 grains of IMR 3031. The 250 Sierra shoots good with these loads to, but I have not taken any game with them.

I found H4895 to works well with the .375" Hornady 225 grain Spire Points in my 375 H&H. 68 grains is a good starting load and I just load them to 70 grains. The maximum load from Hornady is 74.8 grains. Hornady loads are interchangable for the 220 grain FN and 225 grain SP.
