I have a Sako 75 in 338 win. & ready to start loading for it. I picked up reloader 22 & had planned on 225 tsx, but at the gun shop, changed my mind to 210 tsx. Now going through my manuals, neither has load info for 210 grain bullets.

I was wondering if any of you experienced reloaders here can help me with a safe starting point? I was thinking of starting around 70 gr, but would prefer not to go in blind.

Thanks fellas,

Euge

70 gr of RL 22 would be a safe starting point.

Although, if you haven't opened your container of powder yet I would go back and exchange it for some RL 19 or one of the 4350s. You will have much better success with one of these powders IMO.

RL 22 is too slow a powder for that bullet weight in the .338 WM.

euge, The Hodgdon 26th. says RL#22 72.0gr to 77.0gr. for a top FPS. of 2960. with the 210gr. But I have to agree with the other poster that H-4350 or IMR 4350 and the RL#19 maybe better choices, I like the 225gr. with my 338 Win. and 71.0gr. of H-4350. hope things work out.

Try 73gr of RL-19 Fed210 or WLR primers with either FC or WW cases. I get right at 2950 with great accuracy and zero pressure indications out of a 24" barreled M-70 Custom. jorge
