skb2706shouldn't need form and trim dies. I just run new or even once fired 30-30's thru my 7-30 die a little at a time just til it will fit in my TC. This gives the brass a secondary shoulder to headspace on until you fireform it. Once its fireformed the length won't be a problem for at least a couple firings and possibly more. Fireform loads actually shoot quite good...........

HobieA set of dies will suffice for forming. Lube, run .30-30 case into sizing die. Load as you would any other 7-30 (some modification to load might be necessary if you're using a high load density powder). Shoot. You have your cases. Works great. If you shoot cast, you can practice while forming cases.
