I think I am going to buy one of these. Longrangehunting has them for sale. What do you guys think? I use a CED right now but it sometimes doesn't register a shot.

Nice technology, but someone must put-up $500 plus and try it - are you going to be first?

I would be interested in how it works at a public range where you have other shooters on either side of you. How focused is the radar beam? It is going to pick up shots fired by you neighbor? If so, how mush distance is required between shooters on the firing line? I looked at the FAQ on the web site, and this obvious question is not mentioned. Makes me wonder.

Jett,
I have the CED. If you will just get the infra red screens you will never miss another shot. I have had Pact, oehler, Competition Electronics etc. I have not tried the one you want but since i have had the infra red screens i have not missed recording a shot.

They have been advertising avail sometime this year, but still haven't properly announced just when production is actually proceeding on their site or Facebook page. Could be a while yet to actually see them for sale.

I have been watching these for over a year now. Their web site still doesn't give a delivery date. I also see that they say the chronograph won't work with shot shells, which is a bummer. Too bad Ohler never updated his chronograph.

With this instrument an accurate B.C. should be able to be calculated based on measured velocity decrements out to ~100 yds.

It is not available yet gentlemen.

It still says pre-order for a possible delivery in May.

They had this pre-order for a long time now, so I am going to hold on until it is actually shipping.

Sounds very interesting. though.

am glad Oehler has started selling their Model 35P again.

It is the only chronograph that actually works in our indoor tunnel.

I have tried everything on the market, including some complicated German chronographs.

Nothing comes close to the Oehler in consistence performance.

Just curious if you've tried the Magnetospeed? Using an electromagnetic field instead of light seems that it would hold possibilities.

I just ordered one from Long Range Hunting. LLC in Oshkosh, Wi. Haven't got the shipping confirmation yet, but everything looks like a "go". I like my Oehler 35P, but messed a couple of years ago when I shot it with my S&W .500 Magnum. homer The replacement parts were not expensive, but I think I'd prefer something like this that you don't have to shoot through, as well as something that will measure velocities down range, as well as at the location of the device. Cheers. Chip.

Sorry....I'm mistaken......it's a "pre order" only. Shipments not until May. Chip.

Over at the long range hunting site they said their first unit was shipping to them next week and they'll be posting a review real soon after.

At Accurate Shooter there was a forum thread I saw recently where the LRH guys answered some of the questions above in this thread.

http://forum.accurateshooter.c....php?topic=3867504.0

Sounds like no problems with close-by shooters. There are 2 different kind of settings on the unit that address that issue.
