If you wanted 180gn30cal.at 2600mv would you push 308win or load back 30/06?( 22-23"barrels on either chambering.)

A test on rem700LTR-308win 20", achieved 168gn2670mv, but they did not,or I dont remember the results of 180gn.
So, you lads care to share what your getting with 180gn308win??(at reasonable pressures)

reason Im asking is,maybe I can get away with a 308winSA and save 4-6oz weight.

I try to never motor my equipment at top end. It puts too much strain on it and if it is gonna fail, it will do so at the most embarassing moment.

I'd buy a Rifles inc 300 wby that weighs in at 4.75#'s!! Yes they do exist.

But if you really want that 308 I'd run a 168 tsx and watch it out penetrate any 180 grain hunting bullet (with the exeption of the 180 tsx)
