So I have a new m70 Winchester I’m hoping to work up a load using the 80gr Barnes ttsx. I have always liked imr-4350 and imr-4064 in the 308 based cases but I can’t find any data using these two powders. Barnes website recommends several powders but I don’t have any of them on hand. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Bullets and brass will be here any day

I found an extremely effective load using Ramshot Hunter in my 243 with the 80 gr TTSX. Bullet is zipping along at 3415 fps with excellent on-game performance. Good luck! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

I never could get that bullet to shoot well in my rifle with 4350 or 4064. CFE 223 was the best I found. If you want to try that I’ll share some load info. Use enough gun... Shoot 'till it's dead, especially if it bites.

I too am looking for a .243 win load with the 80 grain ttsx. I don't have Superformance or any of the powders the Barnes #4 manual shows. Does anyone have load data for Varget, IMR 4350, Accurate 4350 or Magpro. I also have 4831.

I picked up a pound of Superformance and will try that. My Barnes #4 manual shows it as the fastest and most accurate with the 80 grain ttsx.
