I am seeking genuine advice from people who have successfully loaded the Tikka T3 in this calibre.

I cannot load to SAMMI as the magazine is to short.

I am looking to shoot 180g heads for deer.

any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

75 grains of re 22 under your favorite 180 grain bullet. My tikka did a .9" 300yd group with bt's (5 shots). Obviously can't do it all the time but it shoots many bullet/powder combos well. Definately give RE22 your attention. BTW....surprised you can't load to 3.340"----I can't load any longer than 3.350" but can get that far. Also...my gun has alot of freebore...almost like a weatherby...still shoots wonderfull.

My Sako m75SS 300WM shoots close to 0.25" groups with 180gr Accubonds using Winchester Supreme brass with Federal 215 primers, 74.0gr RL22 @ COL of 3.340" - I could go longer with my clip but with what I'm getting right now, I'm very happy.

Yor Tikka T3 should be close to the Sako. As mentioned RL22 is probably the powder reccomended the most for the 300WM. H-1000, 7828 would be some others to try. I got some new Winchestr Supreme 780 that Winchester uses in all their WS ammo line.

Hi Guys,

I have just measured my RWS 184g factory ammo and it comes out at 2.736 COAL and this fills my magazine, at very best I can only get a mil or two longer in my magazine.

Hence my trouble
