I can't find RL15 anywhere so I decided to try 4064 with 270 TSX. anyone use this powder in the 375 H&H? any loads you found to be accurate for 270gn bullets?

My 375s shoot well no matter what you put into them; it is inherently a good, well balanced caliber. Load some and shoot; you will be pleased. That's a good thing about 375s; they shoot any powder from 3031 to 4831 and anything in between; very versatile.

I know powder availability may be a problem, but if you have (or can find) RL 19, might try it. My 375 loves it. 3/4" - 7/8" consistently with the 270 TSX.

Good luck, it sucks to have to develop a new load based on what powder you can find. I'm in the same boat with my 7mag right now.

IMR-4064 is an old standby powder in the .375 H&H with both 250, 270 and 300 gr. bullets..O'Connor used it a lot in his .375..

The 375 H&H isn't picky about powders, it shoots and performs great with a lot of powders.

If you can find some Norma 203B you can use it to replace the RL-15.

I use IMR 4064 with 300 grain TSX and it shoots sub MOA right at 2,500 fps.

IMR 4064 is the most accurate powder in my Sako Safari .375 H&H.

Give it a try and I think you will be pleased.

I started with 4064 back in the late fifties and still use it, but in this century I use a little more RL 15 as it meters a little smoother for me.

I've used IMR 4064 for years in the 375 H&H, and it works just fine.
