OK< for those of you who have been helping me with my loads, I have more results! My 300 SAUM seems to like more IMR 4350. I still have not shot the max charge yet, but as I increase the charge weight, the group size tends to decrease. However, get this: it shoots Remington Factory loads with 180 Grain bullets better than anything I've shot yet (1.54" compared to 1.67" for my best load-IMR 4350 61.5 Grains) The funny thing is that the 300 SAUM will put two really close on nearly every group and it always sends one out to the right an inch or so. I have a Ruger Model 77 in 7mm Rem Mag. I decided to break the routine and take it to the range as well. I have not loaded anything for it yet, but I decided to shoot a three shot group from all of my factory rounds to have a baseline to start with. The best 100 yard group was .543 using Remington factory loads with 150 grain Core Lokt bullets. It shot a .672 with Remington 140 grain Core Lokt Ultra, and .894 with Winchester 139 grain SP's. I don't think logic supports loading for this rifle!

One thing that comes out of doing load workups for accuracy is quality practice time. It's amazing just how much better most rifle/ammo combo's shoot when you tighten up the "nut" behind the trigger.
