How is the availability of Norma products in non-scandinavian countries? When discussing bullets and powders with americans, one is always tempted to say "Put 42gr Norma 202 behind a 180gr Norma Oryx bullet in your .308Win, and never look back again".

But this would make the foreigners without access to Norma's lovely Oryx bullets (bonded big-game capable SP for 50c, superb accuracy) and 202 powder (designed especially for .308Win) very, very unhappy... [Wink]

In Edmonton where I live Norma components are pretty scarce. Once in a while something will show up, and last fall another gent who posts here once in a while and I got together and bought a bunch of Norma powder off a dealer down east (for people who haven't been to western Canada, down east is at least 2500 miles away, and sometimes quite a bit more then that). I haven't seen any Oryx bullets at all. When I've had the chance to use their stuff, I've always been impressed, but it is rare as hen's teeth in this neck of the woods. Down here in Montana where I'm working right now I noticed a couple of cans of 200 on a local dealer's shelf. I would certainly use more of it if it was easier to come by, as well, it's pretty spendy. FWIW - Dan

Love their brass, but they sure are proud of it. It's available online. Never used their powder or bullets.

Jeezus!

I believe that these people will make a lot of business when/if people try the Norma200 powder for their .222/.223's, or Norma202 for their .308's.

Not to mention the Oryx bullets...

I'd say that Norma's brass is great, but the powder and the Oryx bullets even more. Norma has made a great number of really lousy bullets through the years. They just realized they were a top-notch company doing lousy or, at the best, mediocre bullets. But they got their act together a few years ago and what they did - the Oryx family - surpassed just about everything ans far as I've seen.

I've dug up two from moose that I've shot with my .308 and they both retain 98% weight.
