Have any of you used their components? Of special interest is the bullets they offer. I'm not particularly concerned with terminal performance at the moment but rather overall quality.

They do have a 405 gr. .458 available through Graf's. Everyone seems to be sold out/back ordered/limited production on the Speer and Remington versions. Woodleigh and the other higher cost producers are available but a bit pricey for punching paper.

I've shot their ammo with no issue. But how good does it need to be to punch paper?

As usual just my $.02

I like their brass for my 22.250 AI and a few other hunting cartridges.

Maybe he's match shooting with the 458? Wink I know with my 1,000 yard loads, I'm really particular about components.

I've used/use their ammo, brass, and bullets. All good so far.

I just bought some old nice once fired Rem-UMC 8mm Lebel brass. Weighed it and PRVI for comparison.

Rem-UMC, 190grs
PRVI, 240grs

Big difference!

They currently are working on a recall for their 6.5 Grendel brass and loaded ammunition. I know of no particulars, just passing this along fwiw.

That is quite a bit different!

I do not need benchrest precision but wanted an idea of general quality. I've bought cases that have been quite brittle. I've bought loaded ammo and had the bullets drop out of the cartridge case while trying to load them into the gun. A few times with new, unused brass I have had to throw away about 10% due to oversized primer pockets.

I thought Serbia just selected the 6.5 Grendel to be the caliber of choice for their army

I used the PPU factory offering in 9.3x62 to kill two deer in Missouri in 2015 and think it performed great

I am using this brass in several calibres and it is very good. Their bullets are just a simple cup and core bullet. In the calibres I've shot they are OK. For example some 175 gr 8mm bullets that I tried when 175 gr Sierra's were in short supply. The Sierra's would group just under 1 in @ 100 yds. Just switching to the PPU bullet the groups opened up to about 1 1/4 inch.

I have found PPU brass to be very well annealed at the neck and shoulders. They also seem to be very consistent in weight.

Recall a post elsewhere by a gent in Europe who shot in rifle competitions about Prvi bullets. This was several years ago, at least. Basically he commented Prvi bullets were OK for general purpose shooting, but not known for accuracy good enough for competition shooting. I've shot a fair number of Prvi, 120gr 6.5, .223 75gr, 308 168 gr bullets. All of these, Prvi shows as match bullets. Did decent for me when it came to accuracy, but nothing to brag about.

I have a couple hundred of their 9.3, 285 gr. bullets for use in my 9.3 X 57. Being the only jacketed bullet I've tried in that rifle I have nothing to compare them to. Accuracy is more than acceptable for hunting purposes. They didn't shoot any better than my cast loads....nor any worse.

I load PPU brass in different calibers (.30-06, 6,5x55 SE, .308 Win, 7,5x55 SW, 8x57 JS, .303 British) and am fully satisfied. So far, I never bought their bullets, until recently. My latest Lee-Enfield N°4 Mk I* shot very well with 174 SMK. I like these bullets very much but their price is really getting out of hand. So I had a go at the PPU .3105 174 FMJ in bulk (500). The price was 1/3 of Sierra's and prior to loading, I weighted some of them. They weighted from 172.2 to 174.2, a full 2 grains difference. I started regretting my "bargain" but decided to still give them a chance. I then weighted the 500 of them and segregated lots no more than .2 g apart (not fun, I tell you...).

Bingo ! They shoot really nice and at 100 meters, group 10 shots within 2.7 MOA over issue iron sights.
