Anyone out there tinkered with RL22 in the 257 Roberts AI.? Favorite deer loads appreciated. I start test firing this weekend.....hopefully! Regards, Rick.

John Deer tractors and Sako rifles....just doesn't get much better.

My well used 257AI-Sako loves the R22 with the 110gr Accubond. I use Winchester whitebox 7mm brass resized and fireformed and Fed 210 mtch primers. COL is 2.810" & The load is "north of 50" as determined by your rifles ability to shoot well and be safe. Velocity is about 3050 ft/sec's in my 25" Hart barrel.

PS: Ask the Baboon what he thought of a 257 AI ! Wink

For light bullets, I would go with a faster powder.

I have got 3940 fps with 75 gr Vmax and IMR4895 in my 257RAI.

But short brass life has me backed off to 3700 fps.
