Is anyone using Blackpowder sabots to load center fire cartridges?


I was thinking it would be an interesting experiment to use 45cal sabot in a 45acp or 45-70.

I believe it would be difficult to get the sabot to hold the bullet securely after seating, and still fit loose enough to release the bullet upon exit from the muzzle. The stresses placed on fixed, breech-loading ammo are different from those to which a muzzle-loaded sabot are subjected after ramming.

I am thinking it would be that same as the 308 and 30-06 accelerator rounds.

Or 120mm anti tank rounds
