Bartlets and others have a good price on pulled 173 gr. FMJBT. From the small blurb discribing the bullets it seems these bullets came from 30-06 Nat. match ammo.
The Armalite AR-10 I have has a 1 in 10 twist barrel. I'm thinking that these 173 gr bullets would be ideal for practice. Does any one have experience using pulled bullets?

Jim,

I have used from HI-Tech..WWW.hi-techammo.com

M-80 147 FMJBT out of 30-06 and .300 wby. they will shot about 2-2.5 groups. Not good but really cheap to shoot. I also use there gunpowder WC872 for the .300. I got that powder about 2 years ago for about $100 for 32 lbs shipped.

Also I have used M-25 FMJ tracer bullets. I have shot about 500 now out of my M1 garand. 99% of them light, just be carefull you dont start any fires with them.

I have not used the 173 bullets. Give them a try and let us know how they worked.

I've used pulled bullets. Loaded them and shot them without any problems.
