Hi All, I am new at handloading and finally have all my equipment and dies in place for the calibers I will be loading. My question is: Where are some of the best places to order powder and primers from pricewise ? If you would email me directly at Budsewnvac@aol.com I would really appreciate it. Thanks to all who take the time to let me know. Ranger

MidSouth http://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/ and Natchez http://www.natchezss.com/ are both super. Natchez has monthly specials, with pretty good component prices in there sometimes. I've used both, no problems with either. R-WEST

Buy locally if you can. The shipping is always a bitch otherwise and besides, you keep the guy on the corner in business. Cash and carry, no paperwork or credit card trail (for the tin-foil hat crowd ) Redial Commodore of the Tin Foil Fleet

Something you wanna watch out for is the hazmat charge. It's tacked onto shipping and I think it is $25. No way around it unless you can pickup yourself. The best you can do is order powder in four eight pound jugs. Four is a case and most places with mix powders within a case, at least of one manufacturer. I think one pound cans are mostly 12 to a case and that's an extra $2 a pound, just for the hazmat. 32 pounds brings the cost per pound down around 75 cents.
