Yessir,

I've used it in a 6.5 Creedmoor, 270 Win and a 300 WSM so far.

Not sure it's the best powder in the world but it meters like a dream and velocity v pressure seems good.

I ended up hoarding more StaBall 6.5 than I care to disclose (because it was available) so I'm trying it in a variety of cartridges and it seems to work quite well.

I have not tested it thoroughly for temp sensitivity yet but certainly will as weather warms.

I've had good results with Staball and 140gr, but I4350, H414 and H4350 were also good. H414 was the most consistent.

I've tried it in 6.5 CM, because I couldn't get RL16 or H4350. It has provided good groups and good velocities with 142gr SMK's and 145gr Barnes match burner bullets. I settled on 44.1gr, though it didn't show pressure signs up through 44.4, even with bullets seated to standard COAL. It was better than 4451, which was the other available "substitute" powder at the time (for both velocity and accuracy). Now that more powders are available, I'm anxious to try it in some other cartridges.

Richj:

In what caliber were you having good results with Staball 6.5 powder and a 140 gr. bullet? I am interested in trying it in a .270 Win. Thanks.

Dale,

I loaded it for my daughter's 270 (it was my old sheep rifle during the 80's) and it shoots with StaBall 6.5 as well as about anything else right now.

I loaded 130 Accubond bullets but don't remember the amount off the top of my head.

I loaded 6.5 Stab in my pre 64 M70 standard (24" bbl) 4-12x Leupold and got really good groups.

The last 3 100yd. groups (3 shot groups) were 7/16", 7/8" & 1/2".

The load was 3 gr. over Hodgdons annual magazine's MAX!

Use at own risk!!!

58 gr. Stab
130 gr. Hornady SST
R-P brass CCI 200 primers

Hip

P.S. Haven't cronyed it yet but 55 gr. was getting 2800+ fps.

Used it in my 7/08 with the 145 gr Speer SBT. Good accuracy and great velocity. Only down side I found is pressure wise it spikes real fast. You can go from a safe load to a blown primer with one grain. JMO
