There seems to be a dearth of interweb info on load data for the Swift bullets so I'd appreciate anybody with Swift's data for the .338 Win. Mag., 250 gr. A-Frame, and H4831 powder combination giving me some reference figures. For what ever reason the rifle I'm loading for seems to favor H4831 behind 250 gr. Nosler Partitions so I'd like to start there before changing powders. The A-Frame experiment with this rifle may be short lived as Partitions are working so well but having acquired a box of them I'd like to give them a try. One thing I've noticed is that with the Swift bullet I'm at 3.306 COAL to stay .020 off the lands (early Sako) while the COAL of the Partitions is at 3.350 which is a substantial difference. Anyway, I'm hoping to stay out of pressure trouble and wondering what the Swift folks have to say. Any input is much appreciated. Thanks. DJR

If you have a good load using H4831 and Partitions, simply back off a couple of grains and work from there. The load with the Partitions in your rifle is a much better indicator of how the Swift will work than data using the Swift bullet in some other rifle. I, like you, find H4831 to be the preferred powder in the .338 Winchester. I also see no reason to change from the Partitions, but since you have the Swifts I can understand why you would want to utilize them.
