EekerThis data collected yesterday on the 22 Jet rimmed and rimless. The rimless having 14% less case capacity. holycow
All loads used the wsr primers and 55 gn.fb-bt Bergers.
RIMLESS:
  • 14.3 gn. of 680, LC04 .223 cases reformed.2600 fps. windy but looks real nice at 200yds.
  • 14.6 gns of 680, RP .223 cases, 2626 fps.4 shot 3/8" group at 50 yds.,
  • 16.5 gn. DP 2200 compressed, LC04 cases, 2600 fps. some soot and mild appearing3 shot 3/4" group at 50yds., really nice at 200 yds.,
    RIMMED:
  • PPU cases, same load as previous, no compression, 2475 fps. Just great at 200yds. Note the velocity difference between here and the previous data.Same energy release but different PV curves for sure.
  • 16 gn. 8208,PPU cases, near max case capacity.2479 to 2488 fps spread of 5 shots. mild, 5 shot 2" group at 200 yds. 4 shots were in a 1" group 5th shot an inch out.

flameNeither the rimless or the rimmed have been loaded to what might appear max.All the starting loads were base on the .218 bee as it too is a 1cc capacity case but loaded no higher than 40,000 psi.
BOOMthe next series of loads will be a step beyond. In order to get enough powder in these case it appears slightly faster burning powders must be used.Looking strongly at 4227, 5744, VV N130and Lil gun. 4759 is to bulky. Any comments? beerroger

    Roger,

Have you considered trying some H110? I use 13.3 grs with 40gr V-max, works great. I have used up to 14 grs of LilGun with the same bullet, the H110 makes for a better load in my #1.
