So I just picked up some new 308 165gr Sierra Tipped Game Kings/GameChangers. They are definitely on the long side at 1.408. I am certain there will be compressed loads with RL15. My go to load is for 308Win is 43gr of RL15 under 165gr GameKing. I also have to stay at the max OAL of 2.800 due to mag clearance. Wondering if anyone else has went down this road with these bullets yet, or any other compressed loads? The only load data I've found is what Midsouth Shooters Supply has posted with the bullets. I hope to call Sierra and gets some info.

Yes your proposed load will be slightly compressed. I run a slight compression in a number of my loads. No issue.

QL calls it 104%. Don't forget simply swapping those 2 bullets increases your pressure around 7000psi. Start lower and work up.

Ya, I figured on starting on the low to mid range and go from there. We’ll see how it goes. I’m trying to find a “do all” load, for hunting and long range target. Didn’t have any luck with the Hornady ELD-Xs.
