A number of years ago, I used that very bullet in a Win Model 70 in .243 WCF. Accuracy was excellent, and on-game performance (whitetail and coyotes) was always excellent. One of my better bucks was taken with this bullet at app. 175 yards. The bullet entered just behind the shoulder, wrecked the lungs and left an exit the size of a fifty-cent piece. He dropped on the spot. Bobby Μολὼν λαβέ The most important thing in life is not what we do but how and why we do it. - Nana Mouskouri

I have used the Sierra 85 grain HPBT bullet in .243 Winchester and in 6MM Remington since the middle 1960's. It has been 100% sucessful on antelope, white tail and mule deer at ranges from 35 yards to 325 yards.

My two pennorth....... I used them in my Tikka 595 for Roe Deer and Foxes in Scotland, very accurate, I cant recall the exact load, but they chronoed at 3350fps, inexpensive by UK standards, and nothing walked away from them. I wish Sierra did the same bullet at about 100/110 Grains in .264 for the .260 conversion! KR
