Working up some once fired brass and the first case I tried to resize I stuck the case. Never done this before ever. I was using Hornady One-shot and have never had any issues with it in the past. So I decided to go back to the ole tried and true lube pad and didn't have any problems from there on out. One gentleman on another forum said that if you dont let the one shot dry that you can stick cases. Any thoughts or ideas?

I have never had issue with the One Shot. I spray the cases in the loading block from 3 angles to ensure complete coverage outside, and inside the necks. While the One Shot may be drying while I set up the die, I do not concern myself with waiting for it to dry. I use this method for all my bottle-neck cases, from 22 Hornet to 35 Whelen, including some high pressure cartridges like the 25-06, and 300 Win Mag.

Well I've got 250 left to work up so I'll give it another shot. I'd rather not have to resort back to the RCBS lube pad because that just adds another step of having to take an alcohol soaked rag to remove the lube before you can polish them up. Never had to wipe down the ones I'd used the one shot on.

Get the Dillon spray on. I spray a light coat, and start feeding cases thru the FL sizer about ten seconds later. Just finished 35 lbs of military 308 brass last week with zero issues.

Use the 'one shot' if you must.
I tried it, was not happy, and went back to Imperial. I've got (2) unused cans in my shop.
I read you can use it as a release agent when bedding !

Well I just learned of some stuff called brass butter thats supposed to be really good. And when doing a google search for it I came across a link to making your own lube out of lanolin and 99 percent isopropyl alcohol so I might give that a try.

Or, go to accurate shooter.com and read what is being used by some very active and knowledgeable shooters to form cases.

I never wiped my sized cases with an alcohol rag before tumbling. I just dumped them in the machine and let the media do it's thing. They come out clean, dry, and shiny.

Aim for the exit hole

I was also thinking about this on the way home from work today.... remember to shake the can of One Shot till the marble starts rolling around in it, and then shake it a little more. Obviously some of the ingredients settle when the can sits for a while.

Still, turning the block full of cases 1/3 turn, and spray lightly each turn, and I have never had dented cases, or stuck cases... I am also using Lee FL dies, which I usually set for Partial FL sizing...

Depending upon the brand or type of dies, and other variables, it may not be the lube causing the problem.
