I have some 100 yd targets. What do you guys use for 200yds? How big is the bullseye or aiming point? I have a 4.5 X 14.5 scope. Thanks

I use 100 yard targets I printed on 8.5"x11" paper out to 300 yards. 3-9 scopes. Of course I still have 30 year young eyes.... A group is a group, no matter how big the target is IMO.

My eyes just went to hell in the last couple years. I think I just need to find another 100 yd target or make one.

If that's the case, posterboard and spray paint would be the cheapest/easiest

I like these the best:

Targets

Nice and bright and lots of points of aim.

Hey Chain, I've "heard" that when our eyes are adjusted to be 20/20, we should be able to detect a 1" object at 100yds. Eeker Not sure I can still do that, if I ever could. But the scopes I use sure allow me to aim at a "small" corner of a solid Black Square.

I can see solid Black Squares much better than "circles" for my shooting. And it keeps me from having to guess when I'm centered in the circle.

So, I just make up some various size solid Black Squares with either Excel, or regular old kids construction paper.

And I align the Scope Reticle to shoot at the corners of those squares. I just snug it up so the background disappears and as it does, the Sear Releases.

I can see an 8.5"x11" solid Black Square way out yonder. You can always put 2, 3, or 4 of them together if it helps. And I really don't have to destroy it while practicing. I usually adjust the scope "off the corner" a bit so the Points of Impact are making the group on a regular sheet of clean 8.5"x11" paper. And I can put four of the white sheets on a large piece of corrogated box with the solid Black Square in the middle of them.

For closer shooting, I normally just shoot the Excel solid Black Squares of appropriate sizes. With my scopes, a 1" solid Black Square does fine at 100yds and I put 4 of them on a sheet. Then I just multiply the size of the square for the distance I will be shooting, 1"x3 for 300yds, 1"x4 for 400yds. And I normally just shoot these actual Targets and keep them all in 3-ring binders for that specific rifle with the Load Data Sheets.

Best of luck to you.

Roll Eyes4 powder scope ?, 1" diamonds or Vs work for me at 100 yds.The reticles stay visable and the point of aim IS a point. Xs will also work. Winkroger
