Which brass would be the safest to convert to 6.5-06? 25-06 or 270. I don't plan on anyone getting ahold of any of my reloads, but, for safetys sake...... If someone chambered a 6.5-06 in a 270, it seems like the 6.5 bullet would rattle safely down the bore. I don't even know if you could chamber a 6.5-06 in a 25-06, but if you could, that would seem to create more of a problem. So, which headstamp should be used? Thanks, Roger.

there's a length difference in the two.....the .25-06 is 2.494 and the .270 is 2.540....other than that and as long as the length is properly trimmed I'd prefer necking down instead of necking up.

Vapodog, you wouldn't happen to know what the trim length is for the 6.5-06 would you? Thanks, Roger
