The jackrabbits are running all over in the central Idaho desert country. I'd like to load lighter cast bullet loads to help control the population (and have a lot of fun). Anyone had any experience with one that will work in the Lott? I have tried 308 grain cast bullets ahead of 35-45 grains XMP5744 in the 458 Win. Mag and cannot get a group closer than 8 inches at 50 yards. Any suggestion for this one would also be appreciated. Would appreciate any suggestions from any of you "Old Hands". Reading in an old reloading manual for cast bullets i found many loads, but not with that powder as this book came out before said powder was on the market. This book stated that in a 458 win. with cast bullets loading data from 45/90 can be used in the 458 win. I have some loads for a 300gr cast in the 45-90. Like using, unique,2400,4227,4759,4198,H240,Hi-vel2. Velocities range from 1400fps-1545fps. Would like like any of these loads? let me know, email or pm me. Have fun. van

I do all of my plinking with my Lott using the Rem. 405gr SP. Cheap enough that it is not worth my time to cast bullets. They shoot great. I load them to 2112fps (crono'ed/24" barel). 68grs IMR 4895, Fed 215, 3.53" OAL Keith IGNORE YOUR RIGHTS AND THEY'LL GO AWAY!!! ------------------------------------ We Band of Bubbas & STC Hunting Club, The Whomper Club
