i'm new to reloading and have some ideas that are obviously not good practice, or they'd be marketed, but here it goes..
i saw some muzzleloader sabots to fit a .357 round in a .45 barrel, would this work in a .45 colt revolver?
does anyone have decent results from sabots? reloading experience? i've tried some accel. in 308 and couldn't get them less than 2 MOA, is that about right?
i just picked up some wlp primers, and they say for standard or mag. are they hotter than regular standard primers from other companies? i've been using cci, and federal (locally available and less expensive). thanks for any light you can shed, nate

This would be interisting about the sabots now that there are hign speed. Just measured some of my 45s right at .454. Don't have a 45 colt other wise I would work some loads up. The othe trouble you could have is the bullets coming out of the cly. during recoil. The 357 bullets are not a real tight fit in the sabot. It would be really fun to try. Should be able to get some good vel. out of them.
I wonder has anybody out there tryed this.

p dog,
let's say someone did have a .45 colt, sabots, and some .357 projectiles, what weight projectile would you suggest? powder?

I like to expand things or I would go with 125s and herco or red dot. You would have to figure the whole weight sabot and bullet for powder charge. i rember in a gun digest. some one writing about using very lite bullets Ie plastic ect for very high vel. If you coud find that article it could be a good starting pt. Well try and look it up.
