I already reload for my 0.375 with R15 and R19 and now I will start on the 308. The reason being I had a huge supply of Lapua Mega 150gn, 165gn and 180 gn. Ontop of this there was also Sako Superhammerhead 150 gn. All fantastic rounds that cloverleaf at 100m and perform well on the fallow and red deer. Any suggestions for bullet type/powderweight or optimum velocity??? Hunting is getting as close as you can, shooting is getting as far away as possible.

Mark, I am quite sure that a suitable load will be found using either the 150gr or 165 gr bullets. In my experience the 180 can be just a lttle too heavy for smaller deer and optimal performance. The R15 powder should give you amazing accuracy and maximum velocity as well. Does it get any better? Good shooting. Dave Member NRA, SCI- Life #358 28+ years now! I use a moderate load of RL-15 and 165 Hornady BT in my Ishy 2A. Shoots very well. Good enough to hunt with if I had too. I use RL-15 in 300 Savage and 303 British as well. ZM
