Russell E. Taylor.280 AI Data -- Not where I'd normally expect it.
I was at Wally World today and browsing through the gun magazines I don't already subscribe to... when I saw a rather interesting "sniper rifle" on the cover of this month's "Guns & Weapons for Law Enforcement" magazine.
The cover rifle is chambered for .280 Ackley Improved. I thought, "Huh? For police sniping? A wildcat???" Well, I bought the magazine for the data (nothing new -- a 1/4-MOA load with RL-19, faster loads with RL-22), but it just intrigued me that I found an article on this round in a magazine for law enforcement types.
Anyway... I just thought I'd post yet another source of data for this cartridge for anyone who is interested.

MontanaRussell,

Thanks,
Wayne

CarnivoreRuss, I wouldn't mind comparing trials and tribulations on my 280AI with you. Can't seem to get support, even from the original smith. PM and e-mail from there if interested.
