My deer load this past season consisted of 68 grs. H1000, 160 gr. Nosler Accubond, Fed 210M primers and RWS brass. It was quite accurate and the Accubond performed perfectly.

Velocity?

My current deer load for my 7mm Rem Mag is 69.3gr of RL19, WLRM primers, Rem brass, 140gr. Sierra Gamekings.

Accuracy is good. First two shots are usually touching from a cold barrel, the third generally within 1/4 to 3/8ths inch from first two holes. Group opens up a little for subsequent shots. I usually judge my loads by the first three as that much shooting shouldn't be needed in the field on a hunt.

I am getting ready to load for a 7mm Rem. Mag.

This will be for deer and I plan on using 140-150gr. bullets. I already have the Redding Dies.

What components are you using; load data; & and what type of accuracy are you getting?

Many thanks ahead of time.

I shoot the 160 NP at everything these days, with IMR 7828.
I can't add much to what has already been said... Just agree with most of it.
The 7mm rem. mag in my opinion is one of the least finiky cal. there is. Don't forget about IMR 4350...
The most accurate combination in my 7mm's is AA3100 and 140 sierra spitzers. They will work fine for deer. I don't use them for game anymore...but, they shoot. They will also come apart at close range. Not always, but too much to shoot them at game larger than average size deer. I have to say I've had what most would say a number of bullit failure's using 140 sierra's. The bullits that came apart sure made a mess out if the inside of those deer though.

Some good ideas already. I'll just add about $0.02 worth.

No results yet on > 160 bullets. But, in my new Ruger 77 Stainless/Composite, I've shot 160 Speer SP (I think, could be the BTSP) loaded by my good friend Bob Wood.

It's 62 grains IMR 4831, WW brass, and the Speer 160 SP or BTSP (primer not specified). These shoot into 3/4" @ 100 yds all day long with no trouble. Just don't get the barrel too hot!

I've got some 150 Sierra and 175 Hornady loaded up to try, just as soon as I get that elusive "round tuit."

Please let us know what you try and how it works out!

My Ruger M77 does pretty good with 63.8 gr of Accurate 3100, Winchester LRM primers and 150 gr Nosler ballistic tip. I use a RCBS neck sizer and can generally keep it well under a inch.

If you can find them, the 145 gr Speer Hot Core is a good choice for whitetail deer. 65.0gr R-19, W-W brass, CCI250
primers produced 3140 fps out of Browning A-bolt composite.
I partial full length resize and got 0.5 - 0.75" groups at
100 yards. I took two deer with this load last season and
it knocked both of them over like hit by a truck at 130 and
150 yards. I plan on trying them on feral hogs next weekend
but I have some 175 gr Hornaday Interlocks that have almost the same POI out to 200 yards that should deliver a little more punch if needed. You should drop back 2-3 grains and
work up to 65.0 grains carefully watching for pressure signs
especially with R-19 as I have seen a lot of variation in
pressure with different lots of this powder. Good luck and good shooting. BLR7

162 gr Hornady BTSP over 59.9 gr of IMR 4831 with a Federal 215 primer. This load will shoot a 5 shot 3/4 inch group at 100 yards out of my rifle if I do my part.

I load 140 grn Nosler Ballistic tips ahead of 63.4 grns of H4831SC and a Win. Mag primer. Brass is remington and is neck sized only. I do not have a chrony but I'm guessing just a little under 3000fps. It shoots under an inch at 100yrds.

Anyone ever use H1000 powder with the 160 grain or larger bullet? I have read great reports with this powder but H4831 seems to be the standard.
Yep. In my 7RMags, I've found H1000 to be THE powder with 160's and 162's. Works pretty well with 175's, too.

Just got in from the range. I was working with the 139 IB the best so far has been with 63 gr-H4831 WW brass,Fed 215M getting 1.5" at 200 yds although two were touching I may have jerked the third.I'm still working though with this powder.
I like H1000 with the 160 pills I have worked up to 75 gr in my rifle but start at 67gr and work up.

Yankess-Yes H-4831 is the Norm for those who have shot the 7mag since it came out in every Bullet weight. Imr7828 is better

Than H-1000 in using a little less powder and you get more Velocity and is More Accurate Guarantee YA.. As Imr7828 work's with 300Wby's and up as well, the 7Stw in which I started out with H-1000 88gr-Vel was 3440av.fps. The groups were 1in-1 1/4in gp with the 140 grainers. Went to Imr7828 using the Layne Simpson data with 83grs and 140gr bullets-3530av.fps-1in and under. But like I mentioned I use the 139gr Hornady's-Interlock & Interbond with H-4831.69.8-3260av.fps and have never needed to change powder in that 7mag load. Even when Imr 7828 came out for the 7mag and such, the difference in speed was not there for me to change to that powder. I have always loaded the 162 Hornady BTSP-H4831-66.1grs for my friend with H4831 cause he says my 139's kick to hard. I will send some Info and Data 1000 vs 7828 to you E-mail or Private Message Plus there will be some Rel-22 and Rel-25 info there.

I'm not a big fan of bullets less than 150gr in the 7mags. I like the various 160gr bullets. The Speer hot core is a good bullet but may come apart if your shots are under 100yds. The Hornady 154grIB, Nosler 150grP & the Nosler 160grAB, my favorite, will be flat shooting & hold together from any angle. I like RL22 or IMR7828, start @ 61gr & work up. You should be able to get over 3150fps w/ the 150gr/154gr & 3100fps w/ the 160gr. All of these loads will do 1MOA in my rifle.
