I currently have a Rock Chucker. I understand that it is upgradable to progressive with the Piggy Back III. I have pondered this thought to increase output. Any thoughts or experience with this addition? I haven't seen any word about it either way. Thanks for your comments, Rod

I have the Piggy Back II and love it. I can use the Rock Chucker on rifle ammo in single stage and the Piggy Back II for pistol in the progressive mode, the best of both worlds. The Piggy Back III I believe has removable tool heads but I'm not sure. If it does then it would be a lot better as you wouldn't have to remove your dies all the time. The instruction book that came with my PB II was detailed and had good pictures to show how to setup and operate. I'm totally satisfied with mine and wouldn't hesitate to buy one again if need be.

Thanks for your words of wisdom and comments. I figured someone had to own this system. That's exactly what I had in mind with getting the Piggy Back system. I'll continue to load my rifle rounds on the Rock Chucker and load more pistol rounds on the upgrade in less time. This will help me keep up with my pistol shooting addiction Rod ______________________________________________ One man's junk is another man's treasure.

quote:Does it come with dies and powder measure? I choose a lee pro1000 for $130 delivered and ready to load without tying up the single stage press. Dies and powder measure included. Primer feed is only for one size though. I like it for short pistol cases (9mm & 45acp) where I can see the powder level and use a taper crimp on the case mouth. I like the KISS approach (can you say dillon 550) but found that I can just remove the case feeder and the eject wire to have a simple machine that's just as fast. This makes it easy to change shellplates and primer feed by just removeing the shellplate bolt. Another thing, Lee and Dillon have went to linkage on the powder measure to recharge the powder measure as the ram reaches the bottom of its stroke. This prevents double charges of powder caused by a partial movement of the ram at the top of its stroke. JerryO
