THis is from that Paco Kelly article on the .35 Whelen.

57/ReL #7
150gr Rem Jacketed
3248 fps/3514 ft.lbs
medium game

Dunno if that powder is even still available but considering his loads are pretty hot, I'd damn well start a few grains lower.

This is from an early loadbook (one book/one caliber) 158 gr. JSP (pistol bullet) IMR4895 start 44.8 gr./2000 FPS max 50.2 gr./ 2250 FPS.
Looks like everybody thinks it's some kind of mortal sin to want to shoot a bullet that light in a .35 Whelen.
I looked in every source that I have on hand and that's all I could find. Frowner

Thanks for looking think I'll try them all. As for light bullets for cal.yep normally but when you have a whole bunch[250+} why not use them. I figure that like a 125gr in 8Rem Mag @3500+ the effect on crows is just WOW

Dunno how much help this will be but in Speer manual #9 for the 158 gr. jacketed soft point bullet they show:

IMR4064 Start: 54.0 gr./2454 FPS
Max: 62.0 gr./2841 FPS

IMR3031 Start: 50.0 gr./2462 FPS
Max: 58.0 gr./2865 FPS

What does bug the hell out of me is for some reason, I distinctly remember Remington making a 150 gr. bullet for the .350 Rem. mag. Apparently it went over like a pregnant high jumper carrying lead triplets or something. I could be wrong on that though. The memory banks don't work as well as they used to.
