Hi Folks, Can anyone answer my question? Thanks in advance Hughie. Using stoneypoint oal gauge. I'm getting a consistent overall length of 3.540 for bullet seating depth which is nuts! The rifle is extremely accurate with all bullet weights. Often less than 5.8 of an inch. I have set the bullet seating depth at 3.300 for honardy 130 grain sst behind 56 grains of rl22 and Remington primers and accuracy is fine any suggestions for proper bullet depth? Thanks

I think your gun just has a long throat, some rifles do, my ruger 22-250's mag box is really small so i just seat um as long as i can and still have them cycle through the box. I think with most guns unless your shooting a heavy barrel varmit or benchrest gun once you get close to 1/2" groups you should be very happy with your shooting and gun combo i wouldn't mess with it. My rem 700 hated those 130 SST's much prefers nosler BT's

Thanks for replying to the question, sorry in the delay. But never got notified of your reply by email. You're right about the throat been long. OAL on SST 130 grain is 3.479 and the shooting one whole groups at 3.340 so I'll just leave it at that. Thanks Again Hugh.
