Recently purchased once fired batch of 9mm. In the 100 was 12 cases that were headstamped 9mm MAXXTECH. Has anyone ever heard of these? Reason I ask is inside the case I thought was a stuck smaller case, but it seems to be a built in shelf for some reason. Only reason I see is that you can't install a bullet to far down. Is that the scoop?

I've heard of them never used them. They do a lot of steel case 9mm as well.

I did some research and found they are produced in Bosnia and or Italy by Fiocca. Apparently the ring on the inside is to keep bullet from being inserted to far and also contain the powder nice and tight. However, so far what I read is they are Berdan primed which is not good for reloading. Mine don't look Berdan primed so I'm going to try lightly and see if they pop out.

Well here is an update. The brass I acquired is brass not steel. They do still have the extra ring inside the case, but are boxer primed. So I will keep them separated and give them a try.

Bear in mind that less internal volume results in (way) higher pressures given the same load.
So do you really want to work up a load for 12 pieces of brass?
