A .257 STW will be a custom rifle....and not likely be priced comfortably.....a .257 Weatherby would be about the same performance and a heck of a lot less costly...for that matter a .25-06 is about equal to either of them.....and now's the crowning blow.....I finally settled in on my .257 Roberts because it does all I ask of it.....

The STW case should be used for .308 caliber and larger in my opinion.

i think you will find that once you have the rifle chambered that stw brass is MUCHO cheaper than weatherby. and a necksizing die wont cost you anymore for your stw.
i just finished my 257 weatherby and the only reason i built this one is for deer hunting and a 24" tube. the stw has a varmint fluted 26" tube...........
